December 2009 Girls Day Out

On Sunday, December 06, 2009, Rose Brigade Red Hat Society Chapter celebrated our 5th anniversary with an ornament exchange party at Ocean Rock on the bluebonnet Circle here in Fort Worth.

As I entered, I was graciously greeted by Mark, who then arranged our table right at the front of the restaurant. Mark then introduced me to our server for the afternoon, Brandon.

As my Ladies came in, they found a surprise gift bag from Ms. Santa Claus at their place. It was full of holiday goodies, including chocolate, bling & music!

Each Lady had brought a holiday ornament in a gift bag, a fun sticker was placed on the bag & it matched a sticker on each of the goodie bags. That designated who got which ornament.

We recited our vows, played holiday music on our kazoos, ate until we were stuffed and chatted the afternoon away.

It was a fantastically fabulous way to end 2009!

Sunday, November 1st was an absolutely fantastic day!

The sun was shinig, the temp was perfect and Rose Brigade met up at the Scott Theatre here in Fort Worth to see "Menopause The Musical".

We went to this last year and had a blast! We laughed so hard tears were in our eyes!

If you have never seen this, make it a point to do so! Every woman should go see this wonderful show!

After the show, we went to Romano's Macaroni Grill. The food was great, however, our waitress seemed to be preoccupied. We still had a great time visiting and chatting with each other!

Next month, Rose Brigade will celebrate our 5th anniversary! Woo Hoo ! We will have our annual ornament exchange and holiday party on Sunday, December 6th.

The rain finally stopped and the temperature dropped just enough for us to venture out to the Secret Garden Tea Room in the Montgomery Street Antique Mall on Sunday, May 3rd!

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon together chatting, laughing, eating and shopping!

Next month, we are planning a Pokeno party at Countess Ginger's.

Red Hat Day 2009

What an absolutely fun day we had on Saturday, April 25th, Red Hat Day!

First we went to Mexican Inn on 8th Avenue. Good food and lots of chatting!

Several people stopped by our table to talk with us and ask about the Red Hat Society.

We recited our vows and then when our mascot, Rosie was singing, we got several smiles from the diners around us!

After we ate, we walked across the street to a resale store.

After browsing for a bit, we were walking back to our cars when a lovely young lady named Laura popped out of Finn MacCool's Pub and started chatting with us. Then a gentleman named Roy popped out and invited us inside.

We chatted and laughed. Roy, the manager, invited us to bring our chapter to the pub for a day.

It definately will be on our agenda for the year!

We thanked Roy and Laura for a fun visit and walked back across the street to our cars.

Then we drove down the street to The  Butler's Antiques.

We were greeted warmly and enjoyed hunting for treasures in the store.

Unfortunately, the ac was not working and we couldn't stay very long due to the heat & humidity.

All in all, it was a great day and a great way to celebrate membership in the Red Hat Society!

Red Hat Society Day is April 25th !

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile!

Our Pokeno party was so much fun! We had a great afternoon!

On Sunday, April 5th, we ate at Ol' South and discussed what we would like to do on Red Hat Society Day on Saturday, April 25th.

We definately want to do something fun and dress in full regalia!

Time and place are open and it would be nice if we could meet up with other chapters here in Fort Worth!

On Sunday, January 4th, we met up at Ol' South Pancake House for an afternoon of chatting and planning what we want to do in the upcoming months.

Unfortunately, our February Girls Day Out had to be canceled, but that's okay, because we've got March coming up!

Holiday Party!

Posted by rosebrigade at 12:00 PM on December 15, 2008 Comments comments (0)

Yesterday was so much fun! We had our annual chapter anniversary party which was a holiday ornament exchange.

Ocean Rock was once again where we gathered.

After we recited our chapter vows, we discussed what we would like to do next year. Everyone had great ideas and we decided on a few things for sure.

Then we played Christmas carols on our kazoos and chatted.

Each Lady brought a holiday ornament in a gift bag. Each bag got a number, then everyone drew numbers to get their ornament.

Happy Holidays from Rose Brigade!

Happy Monday Ya'll!

Hard to believe we're already in the second week of December! The year is almost over and 2009 is just around the corner!

I'm really looking forward to another year of Red Hat fun!

It's been an amazing four years as Queen and I never dreamed how many wonderful women I would encounter in this adventure.

How great to have at least one day a month when I can set aside the rest of the world of work, obligations, drama and stress and just relax and have fun!

I have gained so much from being a part of all this and I hope to continue to experience the wonderful sisterhood of theRed Hat Society!

Ya'll have a great day!
